ACP is looking for an exceptional Director of HR & Administration (HRD) to work with the leadership team to help create and maintain a culture and environment that supports their team in doing their best work in support of their investors and portfolio companies. ACP believes that to build the kind of work environment they desire, their senior management needs to take ownership for the growth and development of their team and not delegate that responsibility.  The HRD will partner with the leadership team to support and enhance their efforts in recruiting, training, benefits administration, college intern summer program and team development.
 
The HRD will also have responsibility to provide management, support and guidance to the administrative staff who are critical members of the team.

Position Description:

  • Provide HR leverage to the leadership team, including recruiting, training, benefits administration, summer college intern program, and career development
  • Managing the administrators, including hiring, development and coaching
  • Support the associate/analyst/support staff hiring process:
    • Participate in the development and execution of ACP’s recruiting strategy
    • Coach staff on best practice interview techniques
    • Participate in hiring process, providing the culture fit screen of all candidates
    • Create and implement an effective on-boarding process for new associates/analysts/support staff
  • Analyst/Associate development – help resource and guide
  • Manage the summer intern program and ensure a positive and productive experience
  • Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to the management team
  • Proactively manage conflict and provide employee relations support
  • Provide training as requested, in areas such as interview skills, feedback, performance management
  • Ensure compliance with employment regulations
  • Manage the logistics of ACP’s performance/development review process:
    • Gather feedback on the process and provide recommendations for change
    • Provide support and guidance for development plans
  • Develop training programs in support of internal career development
  • Design and administer reward and recognition programs
  • Be the liaison with ACP’s HR outsource vendor, Trinet.  Ensure employees are getting the best service and support for themselves and their families.  Assess benefit offerings on an ongoing basis to ensure they are both cost effective and competitive

 EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience/knowledge in the Human Resources field plus 2-3 years of non-HR business experience (experience in a consulting, professional service, or investment firm is highly desirable)
  • Experience working in a smaller company with less defined structure, policy and programs
  • 2+ years people management experience of professional level staff
  • Bachelor’s Degree
 WORK SCHEDULE/LOCATION/COMPENSATION:
  • This position will be located in Palo Alto
  • Depending on the individual and their experience/skills, there may be an opportunity to scope the position as either a full time or part-time position
